Re: Difficulty Level of WBJEE

The difficulty level of the WBJEE varied from subject to subject. Mathematics was comparatively easy, while Physics and Chemistry had a mix of moderate and difficult questions.

Subject-wise break-up of the difficulty level-

Subject No. of Questions Good Attempts
Mathematics 75 45-50
Physics 40 25-30
Chemistry 40 25-30

The Maths section of the test was comparatively easier, and the candidates, who were well-versed with the standard XI and XII Mathematics books, had a smile on their faces.

The section covered almost all the main areas of Class XI and XII Mathematics viz. Comprised Conic Sections, Straight Lines, 3-D, Integral Calculus, Differential Equation, Differentiation, Application of Derivates, Permutation and Combinations, Statistics, Probability, Relations and Functions, Quadratic Equations, Inequalities, Area under Curve, Arithmetic and Geometric Progressions, Complex Numbers, Matrices, Determinants, Triangles and Limits and Derivatives.

The overall difficulty level of the section was easy to moderate, and it had more easy questions than difficult ones.

An attempt of more than 50 questions with 80% plus accuracy was considered safe.
