PhD Admissions- PhD programs- PhD in Mumbai University is offered in the following subjects Economics Sociology Chemical Technology Statistics Civics and Politics Psychology Law English Sanskrit Mathematics Marathi Geography Gujarati Hindi Physics Education Computer Science Kannada Commerce Life Science Sindhi Urdu Philosophy German Russian Arabic French PhD Eligibility:- Masters degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 55 percent marks Admission to Phd Courses is done through Common Entrance Test PET (Ph.D Entrance Test) conducted by the University. Exemption from PhD Entrance Test Applicants who have qualified in GATE/SET/NET/(JRF) examinations are exempt from appearing for PET. Applicants who hold a Teacher Fellowship with CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR and DBT are also exempt. Exam Pattern:- The Paper pattern of Mumbai Univertisyt PhD PET will consists of three questions 1.Objective- 40 marks. 2.Long Answer- 30 marks. 3.Short Answer- 30 marks. Applicants who secure more than 50 marks in the PET exam will be declared as successful.
