The Maulana Azad National Urdu University is a Central University located in the city of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. The university was established by an Act of the Parliament in January 1998, with an All India jurisdiction. The university has been awarded "A" Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University Grants Commission, in pursuance of the National Policy on Education 1986 and its programme of action, had set up 66 Academic Staff Colleges (ASCs) in different Universities/ Institutions in the country. The UGC Academic Staff College is modified & renamed to Human Resource Development Centre with effect from 1st April 2015.
