With 150 Newtons of buoyancy this bum bag lifejacket conforms to European standard EN 396. Officially, it is classed as a lifejacket as it turns into the upright position once in the water. The jacket is manual firing only through a United Moulders inflation mechanism, with a 33g CO2 cylinder. Manual firing suits the rowers environment, the jacket will not fire unless the cord is pulled, eliminating the risk of a false inflation. It also has the facility to manually top up air via a tube, retro reflective tape on the inflating chamber, a lifting strap and a whistle.
