Firstly let me tell there are numerous choices available to choose from for each of the streams of science, commerce and arts. Here I am listing the various choices available for the streams individually. Science is one of the vastest fields offering innumerable courses at graduation level. Passing XII in science stream means that you have already set your goals in that direction. The various options available in the field of Science are: Engineering, Architecture Research & Development, Medicine, IT & Computers are some of the courses which, to a great extent, ascertain a promising career. Also other courses which one can opt are: Forensic Science, Bio Technology, Geology, Zoology, Food Technology, Microbiology, and Textile While most of the courses are spread over a period of 3 years, academic programs of engineering, medicine, and technology take a longer period for completion. Arts For the students who have completed their schooling as an arts student, it is very essential that they select the course that suits their talent profile. The wide array of courses available in arts field are: Fashion Design Courses, Mass Communication Courses, Hotel Management Courses, Event Management Courses are some of the courses which offer lucrative career opportunities. Also, the Foreign Language Courses are on a high demand for graduation as it helps students move into multi-national companies. The most popular among the language courses are Spanish, Russian, Korean, French, and Japanese. Commerce 'Chartered accountancy' is what strikes our head as a leading career goal, if you have passed XII in commerce. Courses offered in Commerce are: BCom, BBM, BBA, etc., are some of the courses opted by students at graduation level. Also, students can do a certificate or a diploma course after class XII. The courses available for diploma and certificate include: Taxation, Applied Managerial Economics, Accounting, Banking and Insurance, Micro Finance, Stock Market etc. The students with basic educational qualifications in commerce become eligible to become Account Assistant, Account Analyst, Balance Sheet Reconcilator, Accounting Coordinator, Financial Consultant, Accounting Clerk, and Financial Auditor. The final decision of selecting the best option rest with the individual only as he knows best what are his interests, strengths and weakness.
