Second thing, the age for joining Indian Air Force is between 19 to 23 years As you said that you have done MCA or Masters in Computer Science and have 5 years of experience that means you are over age by now. So, basically you cannot join any branch of Indian Air Force. Eligibility Criteria of some of the Posts in Indian Air Force 1) Flying Branch Age: 20 to 24 years Educational Qualifications: Graduates (minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or B.E./B.Tech degree (4 year course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together Candidates who have failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy are not eligible to apply 2) Technical Branch Age: 20 to 26 years Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L): Those applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate membership examination of the institute of electronics and telecommunication engineers by actual studies Those applying for AE (L) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M): Those applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies All candidates applying for AE (M) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together 3) Ground Duty Branch Age: 20 to 26 years Administration and Logistics: Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Post Graduate Degree/equivalent Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together Accounts: Graduate Degree in Commerce (B.Com) (Minimum three year degree course) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) /CA/ICWA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together Education: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together Physical Standards i) Height and Weight: Minimum height - Men & Femal 157.5 Cms with correlated weight ii) All other medical criteria would be evaluated by the Air Force Medical Authorites whose decision on the fitness would be final |
