The Rotary Foundation’ oldest and bestknown program was the Ambassadorial Scholarship Since 1947 more than 41,000 men and women from 100 nations have studied abroad under its auspices. Scholars must be undergraduate in any one of the following :- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution Disease prevention and treatment Water and sanitation Maternal and child health Basic education and literacy Economic and community development Eligibility Candidates must be citizens of a country in which there is a Rotary club. Candidates cannot be Rotarians, honorary Rotarians, or employees of a club, district, or other Rotary entity or of Rotary International.
