UPSC IES/ISS Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria Nationality : Candidate must be either (a) a Citizen of India, (b) a subject of Nepal, (c) a subject of Bhutan, (d) a Tibetan refugee Age Limit 21 years -30 years Upper age-limit relax able: Up to a maximum of 5 years: if a candidate belong to a SC/ST; Up to a maximum of 3 years: In the case of candidate belonging to OBC Educational Qualifications Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree with : Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject Or Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics Physical Standards Candidates must be physically fit. UPSC Indian Statistical Service Exam Pattern Exam consists of 6 Papers. Duration of each paper : 3 Hours except for Paper III & IV. Duration of Paper III & IV : 2 Hours each. Paper I & II are conducted for 100 marks each. Paper III & IV are of Objective type i.e it consists of Multiple Choice Questions. Papers III, IV, V, VI are conducted for 200 Marks each. Paper I & II consists of General English & General Studies respectively. Paper III to VI consists of Professional Knowledge i.e Statistics Subjects. All the papers must be answered in English Langauge only. Candidates who get qualified in the Written test will be called for Viva-Voce. |
