Entrance Test is conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University for admission Ph.D. programs for research in various streams i.e. engineering, science, management, languages, Computers, and physical education etc. Pune University PhD Entrance Exam Eligibility: Candidate must have passed his/ her Post-graduation Degree with minimum 50% marks or equivalent Post Graduate Degree (Master Degree) Examination in the Faculty of Law with at least 55% marks Candidates with exceptional abilities having passed graduate degree with minimum 50% marks and has work experience of 15 years in relevant field Also the eligibility criteria for exemption of candidates from exam is also there provided they have – M.Phil. degree in relevant field from any recognized university Candidates qualified in the GATE exam or GPAT/ SET/ NET/ JRF/ SRF Minimum experience of 5 years as an approved teacher of Savitribai Phule Pune University in affiliated college/recognized institution/University Department Senior citizen of an age of 60 years and above with Master’s degree Candidates such as Advocates / Doctor’s/ Artist/ industry Professional/ Employees of Government, Semi -Government Organizations fulfilling conditions prescribed for the relevant Faculty Pune University PhD Entrance Exam - There will be 2 Papers of this entrance whereas the date for the second exam is not available For paper I there will be 3 parts – part A Logical Reasoning, part B Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Language for 100 questions of 100 marks. There is no negative marking The time duration is 2 hours Only candidates successful in paper 1 will be eligible for paper II Paper II which is Subject Specific Test – it will have 2 parts part A will be MCQ based for 20 marks and Descriptive / Theoretical Paper for 80 marks Application Fee- The application fee is INR 1000 for General category/ VH/ PH and INR 750 for all other reserved categories.
