International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is used as the language of communication.

IELTS is required for entry to university in the UK and other countries.

Facts:

Candidates believe that extensive answers are considered to be good one, but not in IELTS.

Candidates forget that they are graded by Answer Sheet and not by what they write in IELTS booklet.

Any correct answer which you forget to copy to Answer Sheet from the IELTS booklet will result in 0 points.

Score details:

IELTS 9-band scale

You will be given a score from 1 to 9 for each part of the test – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The average produces your overall band score.

You can score whole (e.g., 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half (e.g., 5.5., 6.5, 7.5) bands in each part of the test.
