shikha | Re: IIT JEE Drop Year If you want to take admission in any of the IITs or NITs than it requires a lot of serious preparation as the competition is very tough. You can drop a year after 12th for its preparation, if you are sure that you can really do better, other wise I find it is a complete waste of time. But here I would like to mention that, there are many other good ranked colleges in India other than IITs or NITs where you can apply for admission if couldn’t make in it. Some Colleges other than IITs and NITs Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad College of Engineering, Anna University, Guindy Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Communication Technology, Gandhinagar Delhi Technological University, New Delhi Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai Jadavpur University, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Kolkata PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), Anna University, Chennai Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, New Delhi Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, Ranchi SSN College of Engineering, Chennai Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala Government College of Engineering, Coimbatore Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai College of Engineering, Andhra University, Waltair, Visakhapatnam Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur |
