As per the new format, IIT council decided that ONLY top 20% students, in their respective class 12th board examination, will be considered for the final merit list prepared for IIT admission. this is the final decision made on 27th June. After rejection from IITs, HRD has decided that Class 12th marks will not have any weight age in preparing the merit list for admission to IITs in 2013 admission . Admissions to IITs will be based only on category wise All India Rank (AIR) ONLY on basis of performance in JEE ADVANCED. ONLY top 20% students, in their respective class 12th board examination, will be considered for the merit list. |
