Eligibility Students of Class X and XII from both government and private schools are eligible for KVPY 2016 scholarship programme. Only Indian National candidates are eligible for the KVPY fellowships/scholarships. Students who want to pursue their education in India in the undergraduate courses as listed below are eligible for the KVPY programme. Rs. 5000 Rs. 20000 SA/SX/SB - during M. Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S Rs. 7000 Rs. 28000 Fee structure For General Category/OBC: Rs. 1000+KVAT @ 5.5%=Rs. 1055 For SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 500+KVAT @ 5.5%= Rs. 528 Exam pattern The Exam Pattern of KVPY in the aptitude test is available in both computer-based and paper-pen formats with 80 questions for SA stream and 120 questions for SB/SX stream to answer. Each year cutoff for both general and SC/ST/PWD candidates is declared by KVPY. The aptitude test does not follow any prescribed syllabus, but students are tested as per the syllabus of class X/XII/First year of B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S as applicable. Selection procedure The Selection Procedure for KVPY for the eligible students consists of two stages: Aptitude Test and Interview. Once the applications as per the eligibility criteria are selected, students are called for written aptitude test. |
