Saksham | Re: UP PSC Age Limit You heard right that cabinet rises Upper Age limit for UPPSC exam and according to The Times Of India, “In a major decision, the state government has increased the upper age limit from existing 35 years to 40 years for appearing in competitive examinations conducted by the UP Public Service Commission ( UPPSC). A decision to this effect was taken by the state cabinet at its meeting presided over by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. Parliamentary affairs minister Mohd Azam Khan made the announcement in the assembly on Thursday, while informing the state assembly about the recommendation of the state cabinet. Announcing this in the Upper House, leader of the UP legislative council Ahmed Hasan said that keeping in view the interest of the candidates coming from rural background, the state cabinet has recommended increase in the maximum age limit for recruitment in public service and other posts from 35 years to 40 years. Notably, the demand to increase the age bar is being made since long and a delegation had submitted a memorandum to CM during Janata Darbar in this regard.” |
