The Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) is an admission test to Master of Science (M.Sc.) and other post-graduate science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and other institutes.

JAM Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree (In science field) from a well-known) university

Candidates who are graduate via distance studies, they can also apply for this examination.

Candidates who belong to General or OBC category they must have gone graduation with at least 55% of marks however candidates who belong to reserved category, they need to be passed via 50% of marks.

Both Indian candidates and Foreign candidates may apply

The beginning date for online application for IIT JAM 2017
5th September 2016
Dead line for fee payment through e-challan 6th October 2016
Closing date for online application 6th October 2016
Download Admit Card January 2017
Date of JAM 2017 Examination 12th February 2017
Announcement of Result of JAM 2017 27th March 2017
Submission of application form for admission on JAM 2017 website 12th to 25th April 2017
Last date for receipt of request for change of category in proper format/ rectification of defective documents at IIT Delhi
10th May 2017
Declaration of first admission list 2nd June 2017
Declaration of second admission list 20th June 2017
Declaration of third and final admission list 3rd July 2017
Closure of admission through JAM 2017 7th July 2017

Section A 30 MCQ (Multiple Choice Question)
Section B 10 MSQ (Multiple Select Question)
Section C 20 NAT (Numerical Answer Type)

Chemistry (CY)
Geology (GG)
Mathematics (MA)
