Saksham | Re: NATA Exam Papers Free The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, Eligibility: Candidates having 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subject, only are eligible for admission to B.Arch.Course. Paper Pattern for Online Test Test 1:Aesthetic Sensitivity – 100 marks Duration of test - 1 Hour Aesthetic Sensitivity is to evaluate candidate’s perception, imagination and observation;creativity and communication; and Architectural awareness. The test shall be of objective type and comprise of topics related to, 1) Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings. 2) Visualising different sides of three dimensional object. 3) Analytical Reasoning. 4) Mental Ability. 5) Imaginative comprehension and expression. 6) Architectural awareness. Paper Based Drawing Test (50 marks +25 marks+25 marks = Total of 100 marks) Test – II rawing - 100 marks Duration of test – Two hours. The Drawing aptitude of the candidate shall be judged on the following aspects: 1) Ability to sketch a given object proportionately and rendering the same in visually appealing manner. 2) Visualising and drawing the effects of light on the object and shadows cast on the surroundings. 3) Sense of perspective drawing. 4) Creating interesting two dimensional composition using given shapes or forms. 5) Creating visual harmony using colours in given composition. 6) Understanding of scale and sense of proportion 7) Drawing from memory through pencil sketch on theme from day to day experiences. NATA Question paper: 1From a balcony of your fourth floor apartment you are looking at a small place of 50 worship surrounded by a garden. Depict the scenario on a busy sunny day. Use an appropriate pencil as a medium. 2 Using in desired numbers, the basic geometric shapes found in a bicycle, make a visually 25 appealing composition without overlapping the pieces and colour it using three colours in a medium of your choice. 3 Sixteen wooden cubes in four different colours are available with you. Make use of these 25 cubes to create a show piece that can be displayed in your drawing room.
