| shikha | Re: Facilities at AFMC The Department of Hospital Administration at AFMC or Armed Forces Medical College was established in 1975.Its mission is to impart quality health education & training to develop managerial skills & capabilities of future hospital administrators. Facilities Offered Medical Informatics Amongst various other activities conducted by it, the important ones are : (a) Procurement of IT Hardware/Software (b) Procurement of IT Stationery & Consumables (c) Provision of Internet connectivity (d) Establishment of Computer Training Labs – 04 (College Of Nursing, Under Graduate wing, Department of Hospital Administration, Family Welfare Centre for Persons Below Officers Rank) (e) Conduct IT Training MRS The Medical Records Section is a Central STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) registry for service personnel. It also maintains records of 200 civilian beds of Armed Forces Medical College attached to Command Hospital and fatal case documents of families of serving personnel and civilians admitted in Command Hospital. These records are also used for research purposes by PG Trainees Education Gallery It has created an Educational Gallery wherein educational models, photographs and charts are displayed so that people visiting the dept and its students are exposed to reinforce academic input and training. Library The department has a well stocked library with many books. In addition, there is a digital section which has many educational CDs. There is an internet connection facility available for the residents for consulting online references and updates. Lecture hall There is a state of the art lecture hall where the departmental academic activities are conducted. It is equipped with an interactive board and lectern, student response system, interactive screen, visualiser and a VPS. Museum The departmental museum has a digital archive of reputed hospitals/healthcare institutions of Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Pune and of service hospitals. It boasts of Air Quality Testing Lab. Various flooring materials are also showcased here. |
