Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) exam is conducted by Indian Air Force for candidates to recruit them to Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Officer Branches.

AFCAT Number Of Attempts

In AFCAT also there is no limit on the number of attempts one can make.

AFCAT Eligibility

Flying Branch:

Bachelor’s degree in any subject area with 60% Marks from a recognized University or Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology of 4 years with 60% Marks.

Candidates must be passed 12th Examination with Maths and Physics.

Age Limit:
Candidates should be between 20 years to 24 years

However candidates holding valid Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) will be relaxed in age upto 26 years.

Physical Standards:

Minimum Height: 162.5 cms with correlated weight
Leg length: Min-99 cms. Max-120 cms.
Thigh length: Max-64cms.
Sitting height: Min-81.5 cms. Max-96 cms.
Vision – 6/6 and 6/9

For Technical Branch:

For Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L):

Four year degree qualification from a recognised university or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Instituion of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate Membership examination of the Institue of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M):

Four year degree qualification from a recognised university or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Instituion of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate Membership examination of the Institue of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.

Age Limit:

Candidates should be below 26 years as on 1st Jul, 2016.

Physical Standards:

Minimum Height (Men) - 157.5 cms, (Women) - 152 cms with correlated weight

For Ground Duty Branches:

Administration and Logistics -

Graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Post Graduate degree/equivalent diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

Accounts -

Graduate degree in Commerce (B.Com) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com)/CA/ICWA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

Education -

Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

Age Limits

For Post Graduates/LLB (5 years) 20 to 25 years
For LLB (3 years) 20 to 26 years
For M.Ed/Ph.D/CA/ICWA 20 to 27 years

I want to know the number of attempts in Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) Exam so can you please tell me?
