shikha | Re: Number Of Seats In National Defence Academy As per my searching I was founded that the National Defence Academy is conducting entrance exam for to fill 355 seats. The NDA written examination is announced by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in November. The NDA exam was held on September 18, 2016. The exam was conducted in two shifts – Morning and Afternoon. The candidates appeared for two papers – Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (General Ability Test). Total seats: National Defence Academy 355 seats Army 208 seats Navy 55 seats Air Force 92 seats Naval Academy 55 (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme) Total 410 seats Age: The candidates aged between 17 to 20 years Educational Qualification: The candidates must have studied physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the higher secondary examination. The candidates must be class 12th pass. There is no bar on the minimum percentage qualification. Selection Procedure: The selection of candidates for 410 seats will be done under three stages which are as follows: Written Examination conducted by the UPSC Interview conducted by the SSB Medical Review by the Command Hospitals NDA Exam Pattern: The Examination for the NDA is conducted in two sessions namely the Mathematics and the General Ability sections. The highlights of these two sections are as follows: There are 120 questions carrying 300 marks in the Mathematics section and 150 questions carrying 600 marks in the general ability section. The total marks will be 900. The time allotted for the first section would be 150 minutes and for the section, the time allotted would also be 150 minutes. There is the provision of negative marking for every negative response. |
