To calculate please follow the following formulae Percentile rank of X candidate = No.of candidates below X/ Total No. of candidates who appeared 100 How can one calculate one s rank among the total candidates who appeared out of percentile rank ? Step 1 : You can minus your percentile from 100. Step 2 : Multiply that number with total number of candidates who appeared in your group. Step 3 : Divide that number by 100. and you will get your rank. Benefits Earlier Board used to give only ranks of Top Ten students. Now with percentile ranks being given to every student, each one can know his or her rank in the merit list.
