In LSAT exam paper on the day of the test, you will be asked to write one sample essay. LSAC does not score the writing sample, but copies are sent to all law schools to which you apply.

The Writing Sample is a 35-minute assignment requiring you to pen a persuasive essay in favour of a particular choice from among two possible options.

The last of the six test sections you'll encounter on the LSAT is a 35-minute writing sample exercise designed to gauge the following:

Ability to formulate a reasoned, persuasive argument
Ability to compose an organized, coherent essay
Facility with the English language and the conventions of standard written English

Example for Write Essay in LSAT:




LSAT writing prompt contains three components:

A one-paragraph premise
Two competing criteria
A description of each of two choices

Structure of the LSAT

Sections 1-5 (multiple-choice):

Logical Reasoning (25-26 questions, 35 min.)
Analytical Reasoning (23-24 questions, 35 min.)
Reading Comprehension (27-28 questions, 35 min.)
Logical Reasoning (25-26 questions, 35 min.)
Unscored section (23-28 questions, 35 min.)
Writing Sample (1 essay, 35 min.)

Total Testing Time: 3 hours, 30 minutes

My daughter is doing preparation for Law School Admission Test (LSAT). So I am looking for some sample essay topics for doing preparation of the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)? Also tell me about Description of the LSAT Writing Sample exercise?
