The efforts of the East Stroudsburg University ESU Police Department are aimed at providing a safe environment where our community can thrive.

The University Police Department is service oriented and is committed to service and excellence, and subscribes to the philosophy of community policing in its goal to provide police services that meet the specialized needs of a university community.

University Police officers are highly trained professional police officers. They possess full state authority to enforce all state and local laws and University regulations.

Programs

The Following programs are implemented by East Stroudsburg University Police:

Personal Safety: General tips on safety and how not to become a victim of a crime.

Vehicle Safety: Wearing seat belts, and checking your vehicle.

R.A.D. (Rape Aggressive Defense Mechanism): Three-part self-defense course for females only

Alcohol and Drug Prevention: Recognizing drugs, laws on alcohol and drug use, and prevention tips.

Sexual Assault Prevention: Laws on sexual assaults and prevention tips.

Traveling Alone In America: Whether traveling across campus or across country, learn valuable safety precautions, designed especially for women.

It's Your Room, But It's Not Like Home: Crime prevention tips for living on campus.

Lost and found: University Police maintains a Lost and Found Department that acts as a clearinghouse for items found on campus.

If you've misplaced something, please stop by the police station at 161 Smith Street (ground floor of Hemlock Suites), between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday and check for your item.
