movements, Congress Socialist Party and the Communist Party of India, Peasant and Trade
Union Movements.

1. Working of the congress ministries, Subhash Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army,
Royal Indian Navy Mutinies, Telangana Movement, Communal triangle and partition.

Constitutional Development:
1. Constitutional developments up to 1919, impact of the First World War, Government of India
Act 1935, Simon Commission, Nehru Report, Communal Award, Poona Pact, August Offer,
Cripps Mission, Wavell Plan, Cabinet Mission, Mountbatten Plan.

India: 1947 – 1950:
1. Princely States: Accession and Integration of the Indian states, Making of the Indian
Constitution, salient features of Indian constitution, social economic and literary trends of the
era.
