Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). Fees: Fees for CTET-FEB 2014 Exam General/OBC Rs 500/- (Paper-I or Paper-II), Rs 800/- (Paper-I/II); SC/ST/Diff abled Rs 250/- (Paper-I or Paper-II), Rs 400/- (Paper-I/II) CTET 2014 Important Dates Submission of Online Application Forms 11th October- 31st October 2013 Last Date for submission of Online Application Forms 31st October 2013 Last Date for recipt of Confirmation Page in CBSE, CTET Unit 7th November, 2013 Written Examination 16th February, 2014 Now dates for CTET examination is over , next year exam notice for CTET exam will publish in October month of 2014 year Paper Structure/Scheme: Paper First (1-5 Class) -There will be 5 sections namely Mathematics, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language, Environmental studies and Language 2. The time duration is 2:30hrs. Maximum marks are 150 for the 150 questions, equal distribution of marks i.e. 30 to each section. Paper Second (6-8 Class) -Language 2, Language 1 and Child Development and Pedagogy are the compulsory sections comprising total marks 90 for 90 questions -While from the other two sections namely Mathematics & Science and Social Science, candidate can opt any one section to attempt. -The section covers the 60 marks.
