This institute was scheduled to be established under a Network Coordination Committee consisting of members from Govt. of Goa and NIFT under the Chairmanship of Hon. Industries Minister, Govt. of Goa. A suitable place was also identified at Shram Shakti Bhavan for the establishment of the institute. The National Institute of Technology itself is a brand.
