UPSC has organizes many examination for the required vacancies. As you looking for the syllabus of Mains examination so we are providing you some information about the syllabus of Mains 2012. The Mains examination syllabus has two paper of objective type they provide you maximum 400 Marks. The Question paper are provide you both English and Hindi pattern. In the I paper you get 2 hours to solve the questions. In the first paper you have to solve the questions of General science, Current events of national and international importance History of India and Indian national movement, General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity , Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world, Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, public policy, Rights issues, etc. In the II paper you get 2 hours to solve the questions: In the second paper you have to solve the question of Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills Logical reasoning and analytical ability, General mental ability ,Decision making and problem solving, English language comprehension skills (Class X level) , Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level) Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper. |
