According to the newspaper The Hindu 24 feb 2012 The Bangalore Central Excise Zone celebrated ‘Central Excise Day' at the HAL Convention Centre in Vimanapura in the city on Friday to mark the enactment of the Central Excise and Salt Act, 1944. Presidential award winning officials and some officers was honoured in recognition of their contribution to the department However, the Karnataka unit of All India Association of Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers have threatened to boycott the celebrations in protest against the “severe stagnation” in the cadre and pay anomalies. |
