Re: Indian Railway Entrance Exam
The Indian Railway System is among the main railway networks in Asia. It ranks among the biggest railway network system in the world. Entry into Indian Railways Direct recruitment in Indian Railways is for posts under Class I and Class II, i.e. for the non-technical services This includes: • Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) • Indian Railway Personnel Services (IRPS) • Indian Railway Accounts Services (IRAS) • Railway Police Service There are three groups of officers in Indian Railways – Group A officers are recruited by UPSC, Group B officers are directly promoted from Group C, Group C officers are recruited through the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Union public service commission (UPSC) and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts competitive examinations for these services, Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination, 2013 Syllabus : English: English section consist of questions from unseen passages, Vocabulary, advertisement and notices, invitations and replies, adjectives, business or official letters, jumbled sentences, verbs and proverbs, sentence correction and paragraph completion, Idiomatic Usage, Clause Correction, Subject and Verb agreement, grammar, punctuation, passive, nouns, articles direct and indirect speech. General Knowledge: General Knowledge consist of questions from India’s foreign policy and non-alignment, Constitution of India and its characteristic features, man and his environment, Solar system and the earth, Seasons, Weather, History, Politics and Society in India, Broad features of Indian social system, Social disorganization in India, Money, Climate. Psychological Test: Psychological section consist of questions from introduction to Psychology, Motivation and Emotion, Methods of Psychology, Learning, The Bases of Human Behavior, Language and thought, Human Development, Sensory and Perceptual Processes, Human Memory, Reasoning. Physics: Physics section consist of questions from length measurements, Equilibrium of bodies under action of forces, Time and Mass, properties and uses of X-rays, Electric current, velocity and acceleration, Newton's laws of motion, Temperature and its measurement, Coefficient of friction, Mass and Weight, Chemical effects of current, Temperature and its measurement, Reflection and refraction of light, Magnetic effect of current, Production, Radioactivity. Chemistry: Chemistry section consist of questions from atomic structure, Chemical Bonding, Tetrahedral nature of carbon, Brief Treatment of Elements and their industrially important compounds, Energy changes in a chemical reaction, Hydroxy Compounds, Chemical Equilibria and rates of reactions, Solutions, Electro-Chemistry, Oxidation, Natural and Artificial Radioactivity, Hydrogen, Metallurgical Processes, Tetrahedral nature of carbon, General methods of preparation, Halogen derivatives, Ethers; Diethyl ether, Aldehydes and ketones, Nitro compounds amines, Carboxylic acid, Esters, Polymers, Nonstructural treatment of Carbohydrates. Mathematics: Mathematics section consist of questions from algebra, Statistics and probability, Matrices and Determinants, Integral Calculus and Differential equations, Analytic Geometry (two dimensions), Differential Calculus, Vectors and its applications, Trigonometry. Railway Recruitment Board Exam (RRB) Entrance Exam RRB contains questions from General Arithmetic, Analytical and Quantitative Skills, General Awareness and as Language General Hindi/General English. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited Recruitment For Junior Engineer (Civil) On Contract Basis Syllabus for Paper - 1 is General Awareness, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English. Syllabus for Paper - 2 is Paragraph Writing, Comprehension, precis in English. The medium of exam will be English to judge the candidate’s comprehension skills & test of English language. Railway Technical Cadre Exam (RTCE) 2012 Arithmetical Aptitude section contains questions on Averages, Decimals and Fractions, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Mensuration, Number Systems, Ratio and Proportions, Relationships between Numbers, Use of Tables and Graphs. General responsiveness section contains questions on Economic, General Policy, Geography, History, Knowledge Of Current Events, Scientific Aspect, Scientific Research. General English section contains questions on Antonyms, Grammar, Comprehension, Preposition, Articles, Sentence-Structure, Synonyms, Vocabulary. Logical and analytical reasoning section contains questions on Analogies, Analysis, Judgment, Arithmetical Number Series, Decision-Making, Discrimination, Observation, Problem-Solving, Relationship Concepts, Similarities And Differences, Space Visualization, Verbal And Figure Classification, Visual Memory. Railway Non-technical Cadre Examination General English section is to test the candidate's correct usage of prepositions, words an, phrases, Comprehensions, transformation of simple sentences, punctuation, tenses and parts of speech. Mathematics section is designed to test accuracy and rapidity. General Knowledge section contais questions on current events and matters of general interest, particularly relating to India, including Indian Railways. General Intelligence section is designed to test the candidate's power of reasoning and his ability to draw conclusions. It contains questions on Sports, Enterntainment, Indian History and Geography, Discoveries and Inventions, Elementary Knowledge of Computers. |
