Jammu And Kashmir Civil Services Exam

I shifted to Jammu Kashmir and planning to give the Jammu Kashmir public service commission civil service exam want details. Can you provide details related to this exam along with eligibility and qualification to apply also provide important dates related to this exam?

Jammu Kashmir public service commission is shortened as JKPSC. It had established in 1957. It will conduct the examination in direct examinations and competitive examinations.

Candidates are allotted services under following services in the state:

1. Junior scale of J&K administrative services
2. J&K Police Gazetted services
3. J&K Account Gazetted Services.

Educational Qualification:

You must hold a Graduate Degree in any Discipline viz BA/BSc./B Com /BBA /B Tech./BE Or any other degree.

Age-Limit: He/she must be of 21 years age &age should not be exceeded to 35 years at the time of examination.

Relaxation is given to ST/ST &backward candidates. &candidates holding civil posts in the state,for them upper age limit is 38 years.
Upper age limit for physically disabled candidates is 33 years.

Exam syllabus:

For MAINS EXAMINATION: The written examination shall consist of the following papers:‐

Paper I - General English ( 300 marks)
Paper II - Essay ( 150 marks)
Paper III & IV - General Studies (300 marks each)
Papers V, VI, VII & VIII - Any Two Optional Subjects selected from the list of the above specified subjects.

PERSONALITY TEST OR INTERVIEW :

After clearing the above two tests, candidate is called for an interview.It checks the mental caliber of the aspirants

It not only access the mental ability but also the social behavior & his knowledge regarding prevailing situation of the country.
