The Mahatma Gandhi Institute Of Medical Science conducts entrance exam for providing admission in MBBS program. The Government of India has declared NEET (UG) examination for admission to MBBS Course from Academic Year 2013-14 for all medical colleges.


Duration of MBBS course
5 ½ years including Internship.


Eligibility:
Candidates must have done10 + 2 under Maharashtra State Higher Education Board or Equivalent board with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology with not less than 50% marks. Candidates attained the age of 17 years in the year of admission.

Tentative dates of the exam:
Prospectus & Form will be available from 21st December, 2012 to 05th March, 2013
The last date of receipt of filled up application along with entrance examination fee is 15th March, 2013
MGIMS MBBS 2013 Exam Date : 21st April, 2013.

Pattern of the exam:
The exam has two following papers:

Paper 1:
The paper will have multiple Choice based on Physics, Chemistry & Biology. The exam paper will have 60 questions from each subject. You will get 1mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking. The duration of the exam is 180 minutes.

Paper 2 (The Gandhian thoughts):
The maximum marks will of the paper is 60 marks. The duration of the exam is three hours.


Syllabus:
Syllabus of the exam is based on the syllabus of CBSE 12th standard examination.
