The Bangladesh Election Commission BEC has established the National Identity Wing (NIDW) to administer this broad national identity system (NIDS).

This system is expected to be a strategic national resource to facilitate delivery of public and private services to their intended beneficiaries.

NIDW is a wing of Election Commission Secretariat (ECS) headed by a Director General with 71 officers and staff of various categories.

The wing is organized with three branches, seven sections and 9 units.

S.S.C. or equivalent certificate
