Tentative dates
Release of the information brochure 2nd week of November 2016
Release of application form 2nd week of November 2016
End of application procedure 3rd week of March 2017
Application correction facility 4th week of February 2017
Slot booking window opens 2nd week of March 2017
Issuance of admit card 2nd week of March 2017

Application fee
The fee amount for the offline application form is Rs. 990, whereas, the same for online form is Rs. 970.

The candidates can submit it online, via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or by sending a DD, in favour of “VIT University” payable at Vellore, or by remitting it in cash at the Post Office or Admission Office.

Exam pattern
The VIT entrance examination 2017 will only be held in online mode. It will only contain multiple choice questions, for which four options will be given but only one will be correct.

The duration of the examination will be two and a half hours and in it, the candidates will have to solve 125 questions of one mark each.

There will no negative marking in the examination and the distribution of questions and marks will be as below:
