Indian Air Force (IAF) invited application for filling up Vacancies of Airmen in Group Y trades under IAF Sports Quota Direct Recruitment.

All eligible Male Sportsmen of Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cross Country, Cricket, Cycling, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis, Shooting, Swimming, Volleyball, Water Polo, Wrestling, Weight Lifting and Golf discipline may apply for IAF Sports Quota Vacancies.

The last date to apply for the recruitment was 14/07/2017.

Indian Air Force Group Y Sportsman Vacancies

Eligibility-

12th pass (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized Central/ State Board of Education

Candidate should have represented Country/ University/ School in the International/ National Games/ Sports.

Age Limit

Candidates should be born between 28 Dec 1996 and 27 Dec 2000 (both days inclusive).

Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.

Pay/ Salary

Rs.11400/- during training and Rs.20500-38720 after completion of training

Physical Standards

Height Minimum 152.5 Cms
Chest Minimum 5 Cms expansion
Weight Proportionate to height and age

Selection Procedure

Recruitment process will consist of Physical Fitness Test (1.6 Km run within 07 minutes, 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups & 20 Squats), Sports skill trials and Medical examination.

Candidates who qualify in all the respects will be selected in IAF Group Y as an outstanding sportsman depending upon available vacancies.
